The Bihar government in India are eating rats. The reason is because they say it will keep the rats from eating the grain, save them money, and have more grain growing. Statistically, 50% of grains are eating by rats from farming and other sources. So restaurants put rats on the menu to serve. Also rats were already eaten by the lower caste which means that it's not expensive. I found this research from Food crisis? Try rats. and also Hinduism Times / Bihars way to save grains

2/16/11(Chantay) At this website you will see recipes for Indian bread. I picked this site because it relates to your topic and is eaten for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Hey Annarika! It's almost dinnertime and looking at your page makes me really hungry. I'm interested to see what you find out about vegetarianism in India, as well as all types of Indian food. We've talked about how everything in Hinduism has a soul. What sort of effect do you think this might have on the decision to be vegetarian? Good work!
