Travel Destinations in India By Miss Spira

Hello world! My name is Ms. Spira and I am really excited about this wiki project! I want to put up lots of cool things on my page. Three of my college roommates have family in Asia. Two girls have family in China, and one girl has family in Vietnam, and all three have taught me what a cool place Asia is. Therefore, my wiki will focus on cool places that you could visit in India and other parts of southern Asia.

Three questions I have about my topic are:
  1. What is the most popular tourist attraction in India?
  2. What are the best ways to travel to and around India and southern Asia?
  3. What is the history behind the big tourist attractions?

To start off my world tour of India and its surrounding countries, I found a few pictures that I think are really cool.

This photo is of the Taj Mahal, located in Agra, India. It is a mausoleum built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, and is one of the most recognizable buildings in India.
I found this picture here on a site about traveling.

This photo is of the Gateway of India, built in 1911 to welcome the King and Queen of England to India.

Finally, this nifty picture shows the banyan tree, the national tree of India.

Think you got geography skillz?
